Tuning in the word "Should"

by Sandra Hendricks
(Idaho, USA)

The five senses stimulate our thinking, and bring forth the word "should". For example, you open a container from the refrigerator and the smell prompts you to think, I "should" throw this away. You may feel hot, and the sweat running down your forehead could cause you to think, I "should" turn on the air conditioning before I roast. Suppose you see that your car is dirty, and think to yourself, I "should" wash the car, sometime soon. A noise coming from outside your house could trigger an investigation after having the thought, I "should" find out what's causing all the commotion. Finally, even tasting something can send a thought to your subconscious mind. After sampling a new recipe for the first time, if you liked the way it tasted you may think, I "should" have that again.

Our five senses working together can produce numerous conflicting thoughts. The following illustrates how the five senses work together. Advertisements stimulate our five senses, and we begin thinking with the word "should". Consider a shrimp platter commercial that you are watching on T.V. First, you see the shrimp, and then you hear about it. You become so engaged that you could virtually reach out and touch it, or even smell it - you can just about taste it. What happens? You find yourself thinking, I "should" try that restaurant sometime. The subconscious mind suggests, what we "should" do, almost immediately - get everything we want - the subconscious mind works toward manifesting your heart's desire. After reading about shrimp or seeing the advertisement, would you be surprised to hear yourself think, I "should" go to the store and buy some shrimp for dinner?

Think big and big things will happen. Is there something missing in your life? Maybe you would like a new job, or want to purchase your first home. Perhaps you hope to go to college and lack the courage. If you want something, anything, your subconscious will get the message and, the word "should", will direct you toward realizing your intention. Your subconscious mind has unwavering faith - it believes that anything imaginable can happen. It trusts you and believes that everything you think and anything you say is your heart's desire. Are you beginning to realize the powerful motivation that exists here?
