County Wexford Newbie Online Course Set To Start In January

Entrepreneurs in County Wexford who want to start their own business in 2022 or take their business idea to the next level can benefit from an online course on starting their own business in January 2022.

ocal Enterprise Office (LEO) Wexford is the originator of the Start Your Own Business course, aimed at people who are considering starting their own business or those who have recently started a new business.

Business Development and Consultant Christine O’Brien, Managing Director of TalentPool, will lead the online course for start-ups, which will run over eight weeks.

The course will take place Thursday evenings from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., starting January 20 and ending March 10. According to LEO Wexford, attendees will teach attendees the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, as well as what it takes to be a business owner, with the first session exploring topics such as reasons to start a business, why start -ups succeed and fail; and understand how to transform a business idea into a sustainable start-up.

On the fiscal and legal plan of business creation, the topics covered will include a guide to legal structures and an introduction to the tax self-assessment system. People will also receive advice on registering a business name and registering a domain name.

Business planning, identifying customer needs, forecasting cash flow, and creating a marketing strategy are among other aspects covered in the course.
