Online Course: The Age of the Vikings
Medievalists.net is starting to offer online courses for those interested in the Middle Ages! Our first class is The Viking Age with Terri Barnes, and it starts September 9th. Here are the registration details.
the viking age is an introduction to the history of the Vikings. Each week, historian Terri Barnes takes you through a different aspect of life for the Norse peoples who lived in the Viking Age from c. AD 750 to 1100. Class begins September 9 with live classes every Friday (5:00 p.m. EST). This six-week course will include live video sessions, as well as resources and readings.
Classes will be delivered through Thinkific, a leading platform for online education.

We at Medievalists.net are very excited about this new venture. The fundamental aim is to provide a platform and outreach to historians and scholars of the medieval world so that they can lecture on subjects they know and enjoy.
We often get questions about where someone can find high-quality online courses in the field of medieval studies. In addition, there are many people who have teaching experience at the university or college level and want to do more. We hope to be able to bring all these people together.
