The scholarship is aimed specifically at young people between the ages of 18 and 30.

Minds United Trust, Mysuru, has decided to offer scholarships to people from Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar, who will register for a basic ornithology course and take the exam.

The Minds United Trust, also known as Minds United for Health Sciences and Humanity, a registered public charity, which has contributed to nature conservation and awareness through various initiatives, now wishes to encourage individuals to learn more about birds with a course in ornithology.

A free basic ornithology course has been introduced as part of SWAYAM, the National Technology-Assisted Learning Program (NPTEL), a project of the Indian Ministry of Human Resources Development, a statement from Minds United Trust said.

The 12-week course – https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/noc22_ge10/preview – introduces enthusiasts to the scientific study of birds. It is scheduled to start from January 24, 2022. Although the course is free, a certificate will be issued when writing an exam by paying a fee of 1,000.

“MINDS UNITED TRUST, as an encouragement for nature conservation and awareness raising, has decided to offer 20 scholarships to interested persons from Mysuru-Mandya – Chamarajnagar districts for this course,” a statement read.

Each candidate must register for the certified course and pass the exam. The scholarship is aimed specifically at young people between the ages of 18 and 30.

Interested applicants are kindly requested to send an email to [email protected] with a brief statement of intent (why I want to apply for the ornithology scholarship) and general information (name, age, education, contact details – phone and email number, Aadhar number, etc.,) A copy of the candidate’s Aadhar card should be attached, the statement said.

1000 in the form of a check will only be issued to selected candidates who submit the exam pass certificate to the trust. The deadline for receiving applications for the scholarship is January 15, 2022. A panel of experts appointed by the trust will review the applications and finalize the applicants for the scholarships.

If you have any questions, those interested can contact Vaishnavi R. Kanzal on mobile number 6360804814 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., according to the release.
