New Delhi, March 2 (KNN) A four-day weekend online training program on electric vehicle charging stations will be organized by the MSME Technology Development Center on March 5-6 and March 12-13, 2022.

The course content includes types of charging stations, tariff contract, implementation mechanism and business opportunities.

It will also cover other important factors such as charging connectivity charges, EV PCS electricity, EV charging station models, ROI calculations, and land rental.

Government programs for electric vehicle charging stations will also be discussed during one of the sessions of the four-day weekend course which will be held from 6pm to 9pm and the fee is Rs 5900 including GST.

At the end of the course, a government-approved certification will be provided to all participants.

Currently, India has a total of 1,640 public EV chargers in operation. Among which nine cities – Surat, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai – have about 940 stations

The Department of Energy recently released revised guidelines for electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the country, which is one of several government initiatives to promote the manufacture and adoption of electric vehicles in India. (KNN office)
